May I introduce you to my newest grandchild?
This is Big Brother Harvey visiting the NICU. Mommy was introducing him to his little sister for the first time when I took this picture. So far he likes her. As long as she stays in the NICU, things might be ok between them. But when she goes to live at his home... he might decide that she isn't really that great. Maybe. Time will tell.
Right now Harvey is staying here with Nana and Grandpa. Thankfully he likes his Nana. His Uncle Crash is a built-in playmate. And Nana is very thankful for Aunties that help so much!! Our plans have been re-written slightly, and we're very thankful that we homeschool and are rather flexible.
Between now and the end of the Christmas Season, we're planning to have all the kids and grandkids here, and our parents, too, at one time or another. I hope to be ready for everyone's visits so that I am not rushed or distracted when our family is here. There is nothing quite like the hustle and bustle of an ever-growing family packed into a small house. And I am so very thankful that everyone still enjoys coming home for the holidays. I love having everyone gathered in our home. No matter the season, my most enjoyable times are when we're all here together.

Congratulations! She looks like she'll have everyone wrapped around her little finger, including her big brother.
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely and utterly BEAUTIFUL! What an awesome Thanksgiving gift.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Grandma! :)
PS. I loved the line about things going her way. I have a few of those!
ReplyDeletePaula, thank you, I'm pretty sure she will, too!
ReplyDeleteI thank you, too, Margaret... we have so much to be thankful for. Yup, kinda amazing how things tend to get swayed, isn't it? :-)
I am relieved and excited on the arrival of your new grand-baby! Congratulations to you and your family. Hope Noelle can come home soon and be in her mama's arms where she's meant to be!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, how beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeletePrayers for her homecoming!!
Happy Thanksgiving!
I've been thinking about this post since first reading it. Sending prayers for baby Noelle an for a quick, joyful homecoming!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Grandma! She's precious.
She is beautiful! Congratulations, and many prayers that she comes home soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Thank you so much, dear ladies, for your well wishes and prayers!
ReplyDeleteNoelle is progressing well - she is off of the oxygen, her bilirubin has dropped to acceptable levels due to the phototherapy, and she has begun drinking from a bottle! Her mommy has been able to hold and feed her a few times... and the rest of us (especially Nana) can hardly wait to hold her as well!
Rumor has it, she may have a possible homecoming date of Dec.1st...
Again, I thank you for your prayers - your kindness moves me to tears. May God bless each of you.
In Christ's love, Lori
What a gorgeous, early, Christmas present. Prayers that she is in the comfort of her home soon! (Here from Margaret's!)
